Based in Salthill, Galway, Capella Software Solutions was formed in 2006 by Trevor Durity, previously a senior project manager and ex-programmer in a high-tech software development company.
Trevor has been in the software business since 1996, and specialised in Software Requirements Engineering and Software Development. Trevor's role in the previous company covered such tasks as:
- Managing a large team of designers, developers and testers
- Managing the development of the company's flagship product which was introduced to a large rollout of over 2000 kiosk & software units in a major US retailer, who at the time were the world's second largest food & drug retailer
- Software process improvement, like the design and introduction of code inspections and CMM processes
- Creation of the company's Software Development Process
- Implementing the changeover to Object-Oriented analysis and design
- Software Requirements Management
Trevor's main technical expertise lies in Win32 (& WIN16) and COM development using the Windows API and C, MFC, OWL, C# or VB + web technologies, such as PHP, SQL, ASP on WAMP and LAMP servers in addition to MSSQL/IIS systems.
Currently most of our work is carried out with PHP, SQL, Javascript and Ajax on WAMP or LAMP.
